Google Analytics is an add-on: activate it, paste your measurement ID, and your public pages report traffic.
- Copy the measurement ID
In Google Analytics, Admin › Data streams › your web stream: an ID like G-XXXXXXXXXX.
- Activate the add-on
Settings › Addon Modules › Google Analytics.
- Configure it
Analytics Version: Google Analytics 4; paste the Measurement ID. Leave Tracking Domain empty unless you track several domains.
- Grant it
To the administrator roles that should see it.
- Check Realtime
Open your site in a private window; you should appear in Reports › Realtime within about thirty seconds.
Separately, the dashboard has a Google Analytics widget that reads your GA4 reports back into the control panel through a Google sign-in.
Tell your visitors
Say in your privacy notice that you use analytics, and honor consent where the law requires it.
