Billing and invoicing

Invoices that send themselves.

Recurring services raise their own invoices, tax is worked out from the client's address, and reminders go out before and after the due date. Your team steps in only where a person is needed.

How billing works

From the first quote to the last receipt

Every invoice carries its client, currency, tax, lines, balance, status and the way it is being paid, so anyone on the team can read its story.

One page for the whole invoice

Lines, tax, payments, credit and notes sit together. Invoices come from orders, from recurring due dates, from your team and from the API.

  • Draft, unpaid, payment pending, paid, canceled and refunded
  • Bulk actions from the foot of the invoice list
  • Sequential numbering when your accountant needs it

Quotes that become invoices

Write a quote with its stage and the dates that frame it. When the client accepts, it becomes the invoice rather than living beside one.

  • Stages from draft to accepted
  • Client and admin notes on every quote
  • Sent and viewed in the client portal

  • Disputes recorded against the transaction
  • Offline payments recorded in a batch

Questions

About billing

Yes. The scheduler raises invoices for recurring services ahead of their due dates, sends reminders and applies late fees where you have switched them on. You can also create an invoice by hand or through the API.

Clients see every invoice in their portal and pay each with any gateway you offer. Credit on the account is applied to new invoices automatically.

From the client's billing address when the invoice is generated, using the rules you create for each country and state. A product is taxed only when its own Charge tax switch is on.

It stays on the account with its status, so the history is complete. Canceled invoices are left out of revenue reports and kept in count-based ones.

Yes. Set a price for each currency you sell in; a price left empty in a currency means the product is not sold in it.
