About installing WBAMS
Yes. Besides the web installer there is a command-line installation, described in the installation guide.
Yes. Every choice from Shape your workspace can be changed under Setup › Management Levels. Switching something on creates its tables then; switching it off keeps its records.
Never. It creates the tables, your administrator and, if you ask for it, example pages, menus, updates and articles.
From the control panel: WBAMS checks for releases every eight hours, verifies the package file by file and keeps a copy of what it replaces.
