v1.13.2November 3, 2026
WBAMS moves to PHP 8.3 and to current releases of every library it ships, its updates check the server before they change anything, and its own code is encoded with ionCube. 1.13.0, 1.13.1 and 1.13.2 came out together; 1.13.2 is the one to install.
Highlights
- PHP 8.3 or newer, tested on PHP 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5.
- Every library WBAMS ships on a current release, among them Laravel's components 13, Symfony 7.4, Carbon 3 and Smarty 4.5. The published security advisories against them went from 51 to 2, and neither concerns a part WBAMS uses.
- Update WBAMS and the installer check the server first, its PHP and the ionCube Loader, and say what is missing before anything is changed.
- An update refuses a package made for another WBAMS product and changes nothing.
- WBAMS's own code is encoded with ionCube. Its templates, styles and the third-party libraries it ships stay readable, and wording is changed under Text overrides, as before.
Changes
- Changed WBAMS needs PHP 8.3 or newer. On an older PHP, Update WBAMS says so and changes nothing.
- Changed From 1.13.1, WBAMS needs the free ionCube Loader, version 15 or newer (15.5 or newer on PHP 8.5). On a server without it, the installer says on its own page what the server needs.
- Added Release Notes and Changelog on Update WBAMS open the offered release's notes on docs.wbams.com, and System Health links each release's own notes.
- Fixed A difference in hours or minutes across a daylight-saving change is the time that really passed.
- Fixed On 1.13.0 and 1.13.1 the scheduled tasks stopped before doing anything; 1.13.2 runs them again.
Upgrading
From 1.12.0, Update WBAMS brings a site to 1.13.0. Then switch on the ionCube Loader among your hosting control panel's PHP extensions and update again to 1.13.2. A site on 1.11.0 or earlier is first upgraded to 1.12.0 through its installer. The steps are in the documentation.
